Under construction — alpha version
Obsidian Expanse

The next evolution of civilization starts here.

Every era of human progress has had a defining project — one that pulled disparate minds toward a single, almost impossible goal. Ours is star colonization. Not as a backup plan, not as a way out, but as the next deliberate step in what a civilization capable of leaving its home planet actually looks like. Obsidian Expanse exists to do that work in the open. Propulsion, closed-loop ecology, radiation shielding, generational logistics, governance across light-years — the open problems are real, they're hard, and they're being solved right now by people who show their work. If you build things, study things, or just can't stop thinking about how any of this is possible, this is where that thinking becomes progress.

Open problems, being worked right now

Propulsion

Fusion torches, solar sails, and the physics of getting mass to a meaningful fraction of light speed.

Habitats

Closed-loop life support, radiation shielding, and the engineering of places people can actually live.

Astrogation

Candidate systems, exoplanet surveys, and the trajectory math for getting there.
